Energy meters

EMU offers digital single-phase and three-phase energy meters for monitoring and billing. Depending on the application, both direct and indirect measurements are possible, and various communication interfaces can be used, including: M-Bus, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, LoRa, pulse outputs.

The EMU Professional II series is available for direct measurement as well as for measurement via current transformers.

All versions have MID B+D approval and can therefore also be used for billing purposes.

current transformers

Current transformers

For installations with higher currents, EMU offers various current transformers that can be combined with indirect energy meters.

The range includes:

  • 1 A and 5 A current transformers;
  • plug-in transformers;
  • split current transformers;
  • accessories for DIN rail mounting.

This allows for accurate energy measurement to be achieved even in existing electrical installations.

Datalogging & communication

With the EMU M-Center, measurement data from electricity, water, gas, and heat meters can be collected centrally.

The data logger supports M-Bus, RS485, and Modbus TCP among others, and can transmit data to other systems via protocols such as MQTT, BACnet IP, and OPC UA.

Thus, the M-Center acts as the link between the measuring equipment and a central energy management system.

energy management software

Energy management software

With Joulio-Web, energy data can be visualised, analysed, and reported centrally.

The web-based software makes it possible to compare consumption between locations and installations, detect deviations, and track energy savings.

Joulio-Web supports various data sources such as M-Bus, LoRa, RS485, Modbus TCP, MQTT, and CSV and is focused on energy management according to ISO 50001.
